  4.   One of the more popular requests from DOSREF users is for a parallel
  5. MS Windows reference.   In response to demand, I am now working on WINREF,
  6. a Windows reference much like DOSREF.  WINREF will not be as large as DOSREF
  7. (yet - remember it took a few years to build DOSREF into what it is today!)
  8. but it will be packed full of information on Windows internals and
  9. undocumented stuff.
  10.  
  11.   If you're a long-time user of DOSREF you might wonder about my change of
  12. heart.  After all, I've said some nasty things about Windows in the past.
  13. 386 Enhanced mode changes that, and working with Microsoft with the Windows
  14. 3.1 beta has given me a new viewpoint.   I've been dragged into this kicking
  15. and screaming, so my viewpoint may be a little different than the "gee whiz"
  16. stuff you see in the magazines.  <grin>
  17.
